SS316 Check Valve EPDM Pressure Rated: 413 Bar 1/4" NPT Male x Male

The Bulgin SS316 Check Valve is a compact, high-pressure non-return valve designed to prevent reverse gas flow in instrumentation panels, gas control systems, manifolds and other professional gas applications.

This variant features a 316 stainless steel body, EPDM sealing material and 1/4" NPT male inlet × 1/4" NPT male outlet connections, with a maximum working pressure of 413 bar (41,300 kPa).

The check valve range is available in different materials, seal options and connection configurations, allowing the appropriate valve to be selected according to the gas service, operating conditions and system design. The broader VCV2 platform supports configurable body materials, O-ring materials and connection arrangements.

How a Check Valve Works

A check valve is designed to allow gas to flow in one direction while restricting reverse flow.

During normal operation, forward pressure acts on the internal valve mechanism and opens the flow path. If the pressure differential falls or downstream pressure attempts to flow back towards the supply, the valve closes to help prevent reverse gas flow.

This makes check valves an important component in gas systems where maintaining the intended direction of flow and preventing unwanted backflow is required.

Available Configurations

The Bulgin Check Valve range is available in multiple configurations to suit different equipment and gas system requirements.

Depending on the selected model, options may include:

  • Different body materials
  • Different seal materials
  • Alternative inlet and outlet connections
  • Male, female and tube fitting configurations
  • Configurations selected for the intended gas service

The VCV2 range includes 316L stainless steel and chrome-plated brass body options, along with EPDM, Viton® (FKM) and Kalrez® (FFKM) sealing options and multiple connection arrangements.

This allows system designers, technicians and OEMs to select a check valve configuration appropriate for the equipment and intended gas service.

Material & Gas Compatibility

The 316 stainless steel body provides a robust material option for demanding high-pressure gas system applications, while this particular variant uses an EPDM seal.

Selection of the appropriate check valve should consider the complete operating environment, including gas composition, pressure, temperature, seal compatibility and connection requirements.

Note: This product page describes the 413 bar, SS316, EPDM, 1/4" NPT Male × Male variant. Other Bulgin Check Valve configurations are available. Always confirm the valve pressure rating, body material, seal material, connection type and compatibility with the intended gas service before installation.

Designed for Professional Gas Systems
