The VIGOUR® VCV2 Series Check Valve is a compact, high-pressure non-return valve designed to prevent reverse gas flow in instrumentation panels, gas control systems and other high-pressure applications.
Rated for a working pressure up to 413 bar (41,300 kPa), the VCV2 Series combines a compact footprint with a low 0.06 bar cracking pressure, allowing forward gas flow while providing reliable protection against reverse flow.
The range is available in 316L stainless steel or chrome-plated brass, with a choice of sealing materials and connection configurations to suit different gases, system requirements and operating environments.

How a Check Valve Works
A check valve is designed to permit gas flow in one direction while preventing reverse flow.
When upstream pressure exceeds the valve's cracking pressure, the internal sealing mechanism opens and allows gas to pass through. If the pressure differential falls or downstream pressure attempts to flow back towards the supply, the valve closes to restrict reverse flow.
With a cracking pressure of only 0.06 bar (6 kPa), the VCV2 Series is designed to introduce minimal resistance before opening while still providing non-return protection within the gas system.

| F4 | 1/4" NPT Female |
| O4 | 1/4" Tube Fitting* |
*For the 1/4" tube fitting option, only the 316L stainless steel body material can be selected.
The catalogue identifies the outlet connection as 1/4" NPT Male (M4).
Material & Seal Selection
Different body and sealing materials are available to allow the VCV2 Series to be configured according to the intended gas and operating environment.
Body materials:
-
316L stainless steel
-
Chrome-plated brass
O-ring options:
-
EPDM – standard
-
Viton® (FKM) – optional
-
Kalrez® (FFKM) – optional
Selection of the appropriate body and seal material should take into account the gas composition, operating pressure, temperature and material compatibility requirements of the application.
Compact High-Pressure Design
With an overall length of approximately 35 mm, the VCV2 Series provides high-pressure non-return protection in a compact package. This makes it particularly useful in instrumentation panels and gas control assemblies where available installation space may be limited.
Configurable for Gas Service
The VCV2 ordering system allows the valve to be specified according to body material, inlet connection, outlet connection, O-ring material and type of gas.
This configurable design makes the valve suitable for integration into a broad range of professional gas systems while allowing materials to be selected according to the requirements of the intended service.
Note: The correct valve body, O-ring material, connection and gas specification should always be selected according to the intended gas service and operating conditions. Confirm material compatibility and system pressure requirements before installation.
Designed for Professional Gas Systems
The VIGOUR® VCV2 Series Check Valve combines a compact design, 413 bar working pressure, low cracking pressure and configurable materials in a professional non-return valve for high-pressure gas equipment.
Whether incorporated into an instrumentation panel, manifold, gas control assembly or purpose-built system, the VCV2 provides a compact solution for controlling gas flow direction and protecting against unwanted reverse flow.
