The Bulgin® Multi Purpose Cutting Torch is a heavy-duty, extended-reach oxy-fuel cutting torch designed for professional industrial cutting, fabrication, maintenance and material processing applications.
Featuring a 1,000mm overall length, 90-degree cutting head and robust 3-tube construction, the torch provides extended reach while maintaining a conventional cutting head orientation for controlled manual cutting.
Designed around widely used cutting nozzle configurations, the torch is compatible with Type 41 and Type 44 cutting nozzles, allowing the appropriate nozzle to be selected for the fuel gas and cutting application. For Oxy/LPG cutting, this includes compatibility with the Bulgin Type 44 Scrapper Nozzle range.

Type 41 & Type 44 Cutting Nozzle Compatibility
A key feature of the Bulgin Multi Purpose Cutting Torch is its compatibility with Type 41 and Type 44 cutting nozzles.
This provides flexibility to configure the torch for different oxy-fuel cutting requirements by selecting the appropriate nozzle for the fuel gas, material thickness and required cutting performance.
For Oxy/LPG applications, the torch can be fitted with the Bulgin Type 44 Scrapper Nozzle range, providing a purpose-matched option for heavy-duty LPG cutting applications.
Fuel Gas Options
The Multi Purpose Cutting Torch can be configured for use with:
- Acetylene – using an appropriate compatible Type 41 cutting nozzle specified for Oxy/Acetylene service
- LPG – using an appropriate compatible Type 44 cutting nozzle specified for Oxy/LPG service, including the Bulgin Type 44 Scrapper Nozzle range
This provides a versatile torch platform while ensuring the cutting nozzle is correctly matched to the fuel gas being used.
90° Cutting Head Configuration
The 90° cutting head provides a conventional approach to the workpiece, making it suitable for a broad range of general fabrication, plate cutting and maintenance applications.
Combined with the 1,000mm extended length, the design provides substantially greater reach than a conventional hand cutting torch while retaining a familiar cutting orientation.

1,000mm Extended-Reach Design
At 1,000mm long, the torch provides substantially greater reach than a conventional hand cutting torch. This makes it particularly suited to large workpieces, heavy fabrication, scrap processing and applications where increased separation from heat, sparks and the cutting area is desirable.
The combination of the 1,000mm body, 90° cutting head and Type 41/44 nozzle compatibility provides a versatile platform for demanding industrial oxy-fuel cutting applications.
Note: Always select a Type 41 or Type 44 cutting nozzle specifically designed for the fuel gas being used. Bulgin Type 44 Scrapper Nozzles referenced above are for Oxy/LPG applications. Cutting capacity, operating pressures and gas consumption will depend on the selected nozzle, fuel gas, material and material thickness.
