OxyHome® is a 5L stationary oxygen concentrator designed for home use. It is used on a prescriptive basis by patients requiring supplemental oxygen, supplying a high concentration of oxygen delivered via a nasal cannula.

Yes. The OxyHome® Oxygen Concentrator is for use by prescription only and intended to deliver concentrated oxygen to adult patients with chronic pulmonary diseases or any patient requiring supplemental oxygen. Speak with your GP or respiratory specialist to determine if it is right for you.

If your loved one is on oxygen, there is a good chance OxyHome® will work for them. It is suitable for adults with conditions such as COPD, emphysema, pulmonary fibrosis or any chronic respiratory condition requiring supplemental oxygen therapy at home.

How OxyHome® Works

The OxyHome® uses a pressure swing adsorption process and a molecular sieve to concentrate oxygen from the ambient air, providing a continuous flow of high-concentration oxygen to the user.

Yes, OxyHome® operates with continuous flow, delivering a steady rate of oxygen. OxyHome® provides up to 5 litres per minute of continuous flow, medical-grade oxygen and is designed for use 24 hours a day.

OxyHome® delivers oxygen at a concentration of 93% (+3%, -3%).

OxyHome® offers a flow rate ranging from 0 to 5 litres per minute (LPM).

Daily Use And Sleep

Yes, OxyHome® is designed to be used 24/7. Please check with your provider before using OxyHome® for sleep.

The OxyHome® concentrator operates at a near-silent level of less than 45 dB(A), ensuring peaceful and undisturbed use. This is quieter than a normal library conversation, making it well-suited to bedroom use.

This is something to discuss with your oxygen provider, as setup varies depending on your individual prescription and equipment. Contact your home oxygen provider for guidance.

Setup And Operation

Choose a cool, dry and well-ventilated location for your OxyHome®. Avoid placing it near heat sources, direct sunlight or curtains. Ensure that the ventilation ports at the bottom and back are not blocked. Allow at least 15–30 cm of clearance around the unit.

A convenient Flow Control Knob on the front of the unit allows you to precisely adjust oxygen flow rate. Always set it to the level prescribed by your doctor.

A humidifier bottle is included with the device. If you need humidification, please consult with your provider. If you are using a humidifier, connect tubing from the concentrator's oxygen outlet to the humidifier.

The Australian OxyHome® operates on 230–240 VAC at 50Hz and consumes 350 watts — similar to a standard household appliance.

The OxyHome® features an easy-to-read LCD panel displaying the run-time and alarm indicators.

Alarms And Safety

OxyHome® includes alarm indicators for no flow, low/high pressure, oxygen purity and power issues. A Power Loss alarm alerts you to any interruptions in power, ensuring you are aware of potential disruptions.

Check the supply tube and cannula for obstructions. If the alarm persists, contact your home oxygen provider or equipment supplier. Do not attempt to repair the device yourself; contact your home oxygen provider or distributor for assistance.

There is a risk of fire associated with oxygen equipment and therapy. Do not use near sparks or open flames. Smoking (including e-cigarettes) during oxygen therapy is dangerous and is likely to result in facial burns, serious injury or death. Keep the unit at least 1.5 metres away from heat-generating appliances.

Maintenance And Cleaning

Remove the gross particle filter from the back panel and clean it weekly using mild soap and warm water. Rinse thoroughly and let it air dry completely before reinserting into the unit.

The inlet filter located inside the filter box is designed to last up to 2 years depending on the environment. Consult your equipment provider for further instructions on filter replacement.

Routine maintenance includes cleaning the exterior with a damp cloth and mild detergent. Never apply liquids directly to the unit or use harsh chemical cleaners.

The nasal cannula is for single patient use. Replace the cannula on a regular basis. Check with your home oxygen provider or clinician to determine how often the cannula should be replaced.

Size, Weight And Mobility

The OxyHome® measures 34cm wide × 30cm deep × 65cm high and weighs 19 kg.

It's four wheels make it easy to move from room to room, giving you freedom to move around in your home. It also has side and back handles for easy repositioning.

The maximum tubing and cannula length is approximately 17 metres, allowing you to move freely around your home without unplugging the unit.

Environment And Altitude

OxyHome® is designed to work seamlessly wherever you are. Whether in cooler or warmer conditions, it keeps running smoothly. It handles humidity from a dry 5% to a humid 95%, adapting effortlessly to different climates. This makes it suitable for Australia's diverse environments, from tropical Queensland to alpine Victoria.

OxyHome® performs reliably up to 10,000 feet (approximately 3,000 metres), covering the vast majority of Australian locations including most alpine areas.
